Murcia, October 28 .- The association "Critical Mass" has convened this Thursday at 20 am in the city of Murcia regional library to all partners for bike riding suit and dress in what they call "work if you can" to sensitize the population to be cycling to work well dressed.

Attendees are asked to come dressed in suits, ties, skirts, dresses, shoes and heels, and for those skeptics is recommended to visit the blog "http://www.copenhagencyclechic.com" where they can observe dozens of photographs of people elegantly wearing a bicycle through the streets of European cities.

In October 2007 over 100 people attending to another call of this type of "Critical Mass", that every last Thursday of the month makes a call to cyclists Murcia since November 2006.

Critical Mass now also exists in Cartagena Lorca and the slogan "Use your bike every day, celebrate it once a month."

The critical mass term was coined by George Bliss, an American designer of human-powered vehicles, which he called the phenomenon in China, where no traffic lights at crossings cyclists accumulate to reach such a number that allows them to cross safely .

This description was released in the documentary "Return of the Scorcher" (1992) and cycling director Ted White.

The first celebrations were held in San Francisco in 1992 and originally was called "Commute Clot", but soon changed its name to Critical Mass.

The term is related to social theories that say that a social revolution is possible when it shows a certain amount (a "critical mass") of popular support.

The first critical mass in San Francisco were 58 people, but in less than a year and were about 500 and then began to spread the movement for the rest of the United States and the rest of the world.
