The Governing Council of the University of Murcia has approved the accession to the Spanish Network of Healthy Universities, which seeks to enhance these institutions as health promoting environment of the university community and society as a whole.
The document states that universities incorporated into the network will also work for the promotion of research and teaching in the areas of health promotion and to promote and encourage joint working between public health agencies, community institutions and universities .
The Governing Council, chaired by the rector, José Antonio Cobacho, held meeting at Facultdad of Chemistry also approved the 2008 edition of the Multi-Year Plan of Incorporation of researchers at the University.
Applicants must possess the degree of doctor at least six years and have postdoctoral experience not less than 24 months, among other requirements.
The college governing body also approved the content to sign several agreements with various agencies and organizations, among which are the Society of Mathematical Education in the Region, the Ministry of Social Policy, the Association against Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Health Research and Training.
Finally, the Council approved the student's choice of law Lozano Teruel Germain students as representative of the Social Council of the University.
