Bascuñana encourages women to invest in innovation to improve productivity (23/10/2008)

The Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, today urged women entrepreneurs to go for innovation to achieve greater competitiveness in the workplace and commercial, during the Fourth Congress 'Women start', which is being held in Murcia.

Responsible for Social Policy said the theme for this year, 'When is innovation culture', is an example of the importance of innovation has not only for those women already in the labor market but also for all those have initiative and want to implement it.

"Innovation in the management and running a business means improving the productivity of the same," he added Bascuñana.

During his speech, said that since the Women's Institute are undertaking different initiatives to providing advice, training and support to all women who want to join the working world, as well as those already inside.

He noted that the Women's Institute held continuously training courses for women in the different municipalities in the region and stressed the existence of the Local Employment Centres in Murcia municipalities through which those interested can access the bag work and training programs.

On the other hand, explained that the Ministry has signed cooperation agreements with various financial institutions for women to obtain micro-credits, with which to start a project or developing an existing one, and fund up to 24,000 euros.

Finally, Bascuñana said is making a major effort to expand and improve the network of business incubators for women so that, in addition to existing ones, there is a connection between all parties to facilitate access to training and information of all women who are interested.
