The Cathedral and the churches of San Lorenzo and San Juan de Dios host concert cycle 'Classical Music' (21/10/2008)

The series 'Classical Music' moved five of the eight concerts that make up the program to the Cathedral and the church of San Lorenzo on the occasion of the restoration of the church of San Juan de Dios.

It is from March when the concerts return to the regular venue of the cycle.

The CEOs of Cultural Promotion, Antonio Martínez, and Fine Arts and Cultural Heritage, Enrique Ujaldón, today introduced the program with the artistic director, Agostino Cirillo.

The cycle "has the originality to interpret early music with original instruments and criteria of the time in which they were composed pieces," said Martinez.

The first concert to be held next Friday, October 24 at the Cathedral of Murcia, is the work 'Poissance d'Amours', XIII century music by training 'Graindelavoix'.

On 28 November, 'Quatuor de Paris' play "one of the less known works of Mozart, but very influential in that chamber music is concerned", stated the director of the cycle.

This concert, next to be held on January 23 by the group 'Sforzina' are two productions created specifically for the cycle and held at the church of San Lorenzo.

In March the program returns to the church of San Juan de Dios with three concerts: March 27, the Spanish group "Maze Ingenious' devote its program to Fernando Sor Goyesca percussion castanets, on Friday April 24 and Monika Angelina Mascardi Pustilnik read in English and Italian music for two lutes, and the cycle closes on May 29 with family sonatas flute and harpsichord Bach the musician by Barthold Kuijken and Ewald Demeyere.

The concerts take place at 20:30 pm with free entrance until full capacity.
