A study by the University of Murcia advised to educate mothers to encourage immigrant integration (20/10/2008)

A research on the phenomenon of immigration in the region, conducted by professors at the University of Murcia, provide training programs recommends mothers to promote immigrant integration.

The study, published by the University of Murcia (EDITUM) indicates that although one might think that new generations would be integrated easily, "the fact of living together and in conditions markedly different and inferior to the Spanish environment can delay or cancel this integration. "

For the authors of the work, training programs for mothers, "as a maintenance vehicle households and communities could generate in their children habits of integration that would be helpful."

"This is the case, adding teachers, especially North Africans, because their culture is different, but the coexistence need not be impaired under the guise of difference."

The study, by Ramón Martínez Medina, Encarnación Gil Meseguer and José María Gómez Espin, analyzes the successive arrivals of immigrants for citizenship, noting that the first to enter were the North African Region, to which were added after the South Americans and those from Eastern Europe.
