The Mayor visits the construction of roads that will change mobility in the city (21/08/2008)

The construction of North and South Coast and Alternative Sangonera La Verde are the biggest road investment effort approached by the City in its history.

The implementation of these projects that are underway at present, represent a substantial change in the movement and accessibility throughout the municipality and its entry into service will result in a comprehensive change in the mobility of the municipality.

The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, accompanied by the Deputy Mayor of Planning and Urban Design, Fernando Berberena, the company responsible for driving Urbamusa-works-Roque Ortiz, Road Cleaning Councilman Jose Ros, and the presidents of the Municipal Boards Sangonera La Verde and the strut, wanted to make this morning a visit to see the excellent rate of execution of work.

The three new arteries will add 32 kilometers of high-capacity roads and an investment of 97 million euros.

North Coast

90% of the work already completed and the cost stands at 4.2 million euros.

On the Tranche B, Ecocivil Electromur Mobility joint venture with API construction will begin in September of the road, with a length of 344 meters and a period of three months.

The budget exceeds one million euros.

On the Tranche C, Civic implement the road from next month.

The cost is $ 1.5 million.

The five sections will be completed later this year.

To complement the construction of the road, the North Coast project has also included other major performances, including a lot of power lines to be burying to eliminate nuisance to neighbors, as well as irrigation networks, telephone , etc.

The Green Alternative Sangonera

Regarding Alternative Sangonera la Verde, the new road will leave the Industrial Park West, its link with the motorway El Palmar, Sewer, and come up Sangonera La Verde, allowing the heavy traffic congestion that currently flows through the main street of hamlet.

Its length is 9.5 km and a total budget of 25.5 million euros.

Currently underway is the construction of two sections, with a total length of 3.5 kilometers and an investment of 10.5 million euros.

This infrastructure will have two lanes in each direction, center median and bike lanes.

As regards the Tranche B, the works started a month later, in May, and has a deadline of eight months.

The company awarded the project is the joint venture formed by Hidracur-Trimtor.

The section is 2.1 km, which includes three roundabouts and two branches of access to the main street of Sangonera La Verde.

In addition, it will execute a collector imminent concrete consolidation than 1,500 mm in diameter that will solve the need for the disposal of sewage and stormwater from future developments in the area.

Currently work is in the phase of earthwork.

Given the traffic density that records the current access road to Sangonera La Verde, the implementation plan of the work has taken into account in order to minimize the maximum inconvenience to users, without resorting to cut traffic.

South Coast

Also the South Coast is already in progress.

This artery connects with TorreagĂĽera El Palmar along a length of 10 km of its cost will rise to 29 million euros and the project includes construction of 3 lanes in each direction.

The entry into service of this new artery will decongest the MU-302-roads between La Alberca, Santo Angelo, Algezares and San José de la Vega, and MU-300-Beniaján Los Dolores.

At the moment, have been awarded the work of two tranches for the Link Road Algezares with the Santa Catalina and the Auditorium of La Alberca, which reaches a length of 3.3 km

The section 1-awarded Ploder-linking the Avenida de la Region de Murcia Algezares the Santa Catalina Highway along approximately 1.8 km.

The scheduled execution time is 10 months and the investment amounts to 4.7 billion euros.

The second tranche, a joint venture contracted with Iniesta and Pavasal Building road-link with the Auditorium Santa Catalina de La Alberca along 1.5 km and an investment of 3.8 billion euros.

The deadline of works is 11 months.
