Youth in Europe and Asia conditioned Regional Park trails of El Valle-Carrascoy (07/08/2008)

The director of the Institute for Youth, Veronica Lopez, today visited the International Labour camp Environment Torre Guil, the Environmental Education Center of Caja Mediterráneo (CEMACAM).

In this area, 26 young people from different nationalities do restoration work and refurbishment of some of the paths of municipal property 'El Majal Blanco', in the Regional Park of El Valle-Carrascoy.

For two weeks living 26 young, aged between 18 and 26 years, from different countries in Europe and Asia.

Specifically, one coming from Japan, two from Germany, seven from France, two from Italy, two from Ukraine and twelve of Spain (one of Andalusia, two of the Canary Islands, one of Castilla and Leon, one of Castilla la Mancha, Extremadura one Two of Galicia, Valencia and two of two of Murcia).

The volunteers will restore jobs and conditioning (repainted signs, placement of security elements, placement of signposts for direction of the trail, cleaning, repair and refurbishment, bounding, pruning, construction of stairs, etc..) Of several of the trails small municipal property path 'El Majal Blanco', which belongs to the Regional Park of El Valle-Carrascoy.

Also made the prospect of other pathways for recognition of their state and propose future improvements.

The field, which this year celebrates its eighth year, began on August 1 and will run until the 15th of this month.

During this time carried out a series of complementary workshops to help participants better understand the environment, such as mapping and guidance in nature, environmental interpretation and traditional uses of plants in the area.
