A step towards the construction of the new center accessible to young people in Santiago and Zaraíche (30/07/2008)

A new youth center will be accessible to reality in Murcia after the implementation of the project sponsored by the Department of Youth and Employment, headed Dolores Sanchez.

The Governing Board has given impetus to this project with the approval of the terms of the call to train student-workers 85 -45 for the school workshop that will build this center and 40 for the employment workshop Cofrisol IV.

In addition, a grant from the Autonomous Community of 150,000 supports this initiative.

The project for the center accessible to young people is a double satisfaction for the Councillor for Youth and Employment, Dolores Sanchez, "allowing us to create a new space for young people while Murcia and provide jobs and training to 45 people without jobs."

In this case, we will build a Affordable Municipal Youth Center in Santiago and Zaraiche, where they are available all the resources generated from the Youth Service, on recreation and culture.

This center has as main features a complete absence of architectural barriers, so that any young person, whatever his state of normalcy or disability, can access all the actions generated from this center.

The total project cost is EUR 1,688,651.80, with funding allocated as follows:

The City of Murcia has a long history in the Schools Program Workshop, and that since 1990 many buildings have been rehabilitated or constructed as municipal heritage.

The program is targeted to children under 25 years, with difficulties in finding work, labor and social inclusion needs and lack of academic and professional training.

Will participate in the Project in two years, a total of 45 youth.

The first six months are devoted exclusively to theoretical and practical training and have a scholarship.

The 18 months will have a training contract in which his salary corresponds to 75% of the minimum wage.

Specialties will be developed and that are necessary for the construction of the Centre are:

All these specialties are aimed at the future employability of these young people / workers.

Moreover, the Municipality will also launch the workshop Cofrisol Employment, aimed at people over 25 years, with difficulties in finding work and labor and social inclusion needs.

The Assessment Committee of the Ministry of Employment and Training has approved a grant of 784,842.40 euros.

Participating in the project a total of 40 people, who are hired by the city of Murcia for a period of one year, during which they will be forming in one of the five fields to be set up.

Receive a salary corresponding to 1.5 times the minimum wage.

The specialties that have developed will be selected following the 21 business areas and services of the new sources of employment in Spain, as are everyday services (services for home, childcare ,...), Services to improve quality of life (security services, improving accommodation ,..), Leisure Services (tourism, sport ,...) and Environmental Services (waste management, water management, pollution control and environmental management ..).

Also taken into account the "new social" as the organization of new services generated as a result of the Law Unit.

And finally, we have followed the "Survey on the labor market in Murcia" by the Employment and Training Services, among which the cooks, Metal Workers and installers of air conditioning.

Therefore, we have selected the following specialties demands of employers, in order to facilitate future employability:
