Social Policy provides 418,871 euros for a center dedicated to the integration of immigrants and their families (28/07/2008)

The Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration provided 418,871 euros for the construction of the Intercultural Center for the Family "Rondella" which opened this morning in the neighborhood of Fleet Murcia, the regional head of the department, Joaquín Bascuñana.

This amounts to 34.13 percent of the total cost, amounting to 1,226,990 euros, supplemented by the Foundation for Social Hospitality (FAS) and private donations.

This new center has been created by the Foundation FADE (Aid, Development, Education) to carry out its dependencies, inter alia, three key programs.

First, the program provides, aimed at immigrant women and their families in order to facilitate job through courses and workshops, which have provided training to 343 women.

The workshops ranging from cooking to Murcia job search techniques, to cleaning and ironing and care of the elderly.

And of course, from the food handling basic computer and Internet.

Routes are also organized by region and job boards.

Similarly, the center has a Support Service Youth, aimed at those young children with difficulties in social integration.

A second program, Secunda, for dependents and family members, which promotes the recruitment and training of volunteers through training, some to work with immigrant children and others higher in the Family Respite Service.

Currently there are 25 and 70 volunteers, respectively, of which 30 percent is of foreign origin.

The third program is called Rate, with the aim of supporting the family as core values in society.

This is for families to collaborate more actively involved in society through various initiatives.

Activities are also handled within the family and, in fact, there are 250 families in the region participating in programs on reconciling work and family life, responsibility and promotion of the study in children.

FADE Foundation and the Association Rondella are independent entities that work together in many social programs and initiatives.

In this case, an agreement signed between the two, by which FADE Rondella cedes to the top floor of the premises to carry out their activities.
