Authorized the contract for construction of Phase 2 of the Ciudad de la Justicia de Murcia (20/06/2008)

A proposal by the Minister of Justice, Mariano Fernández Bermejo, the Government has today approved the contract for construction of Phase 2 of the Ciudad de la Justicia de Murcia.

Moreover, the Council of Ministers also approved a Royal Decree to resolve the contest transfers to cover vacancies in the prosecution, four of them in the region.

The tender budget of the contract is EUR 41,865,845.89, with a commitment to spending split between this year and the next three, with the following installments: 2008, 60,000 euros, 2009, 8,000,000; 2010, 12,000. 000: 2011, 21,805,845.

The project aims at building a new building capable of accommodating all single-member court not included in Phase 1.

The new building will house 45 courts (existing reserve more space enough for another 14 in anticipation of future growth), civil registry, wedding hall, police court, prosecutor, Dean, medico-legal clinic and other facilities required to cover all the needs of current and future performance in five floors above ground, a basement floor and a basement.

The total area of 36,220.21 m2 will be built.

The performance will take place on a site donated by the city of Murcia, with an area of 21,035 m2, located in the polygon Infante Don Juan Manuel, from the narrow path, the Avenue of Justice and the southern ring road, next to the building Phase 1.

The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, stressed that today's decision by the Council of Ministers, "both the Government and Mariano Fernández Bermejo have demonstrated their commitment to the Region of Murcia and it will provide the means and infrastructure necessary for better administration of justice and operation of this more dynamic, effective and efficient, so that citizens get the next service and quality. "

González Tovar also believes that with this investment, "not only complements the first phase, already in operation, and meet current needs, but also taken into account those that may arise in the coming years so that effectiveness of the work is sustainable "

The proposed execution of the work, developing a blueprint drawn up by architect Maria Teresa González Guirau of the General Department of Construction and Heritage Ministry, has been developed by the enterprise architecture work for Restoration and Archaeology, SL, under contract awarded by tender.

The file contained the following advice and prescribed procedures, project supervision, project approval, project summary and certificate of existence of credit to meet contractual obligations.

On the other hand, as stated earlier, the Council of Ministers approved today, also on the proposal of Justice Minister Mariano Fernandez Bermejo, a Royal Decree that resolves a contest of transfers to cover vacancies den the Public Prosecutor.

The total is 133 covered parking spaces, of which 4 correspond to the Region of Murcia.

Of these, three prosecutors of the Prosecutor of the Autonomous Community (these positions have been assigned to Maria Esperanza Rios Almela, Maria Graciela Setting Oren and Mary Annunciation San Nicolás López).

For other square, secondment of permanent fiscal Cieza, has been named Maria Concepción López Gómez.
