150 local police officers will go to the headquarters of The Esparragal (18/06/2008)

The eleventh house Esparragal local police headquarters in the municipality, after completion of the works whose specification has been given approval by the Governing Board.

A total of 150 agents render their service in these new units.

The Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara announced the construction of a new headquarters of the local police in El Esparragal, with the aim of providing more security to the northeast of the town.

The headquarters is located in Calle Pintor Manuel Coronado, on a plot of 827 square meters.

This adds to the headquarters being built in La Alberca in order to expand infrastructure, equipment and personnel from the body of the Local Police in Murcia.

The municipal government team thus fulfilling the commitment to the Murcia in its election manifesto to give the municipality more security and more police presence on the streets.

The district headquarters facilities complement Espinardo, Bacons Bridge and Stables and will be able to accommodate up to 150 police.

The works will start during the summer, and the contractor has a period of twelve months to complete.

The budget is estimated at 850,000 euros, of which 600,000 will be contributed by the Autonomous Community, under an agreement with the general direction of Local Government and the city of Murcia.

The town has nine quarters running.

Between 2002 and 2007 created three new headquarters in Los Martínez del Puerto, Beniaján and Fleet, and has completely remodeled the La Raya.

In this way, decentralization has been providing this service to provide greater security and reassurance to the residents of Murcia.
