Adesga and the city signed an agreement for environmental revitalization of the Valley and Zepa Monte Altaona saws and Escalona (17/06/2008)

The City Council and the Association of Residents for Sustainable Development Garruchal (Adesga) have signed an agreement by which people carry out various actions to raise awareness of the landscape, ecological and environmental SPA Mount Valley and the mountains Altaona and Escalona of the reasons that led to its protection and create an attitude of respect and appreciation towards these places.

This form is intended to ensure the maintenance of biodiversity through measures for the conservation of native wildlife.

The grant, amounting to 12,000 euros will implement various programs for the plot owners to advise them on agri-environment, assist in the registration of organic producers and inform them of the benefits to birds and for them to live in an area classified as SPAs.

In addition, conducted a public awareness campaign and environmental awareness to users, neighbors and people related to these areas, which will:

Make known what is an SPA and the Natura 2000 network and disseminate the reasons why this area has been designated as SPAs and other protection.

Raising public awareness of the importance and recognition of living in an SPA and foster an attitude of participation towards conservation.

Raise awareness of the opportunities offered live or develop a sustainable activity in an area of the Natura 2000 network.

Discuss and propose actions in Garruchal compatible with conservation criteria of the SPA.
