The works of the South Coast will begin immediately (04/06/2008)

Murcia City Council has moved a step closer to the neighbors of ten districts of the southern coastal seen as improving traffic in their localities.

The Board of Governors approved the proposed implementation of the first phase of the South Coast, improving circulation in Sangonera la Seca, Sangonera la Verde, El Palmar, La Alberca, Santo Angelo, Algezares, Los Garres, San José de la Vega , Beniaján and TorreagĂźera.

Work will commence immediately.

The first phase of the South Coast is divided into two sections.

First Avenue will join the Murcia Region (Algezares) and the road to Santa Catalina, and the second will connect the road to Santa Catalina to the Municipal Auditorium in La Alberca, located at the entrance to the hamlet.

The Tier 1 will be about 4 km, will have a lead time of 11 months and involve 8 million euros.

This road will have three lanes in each direction, center median and bike lanes.

The South Coast is a road that connects El Palmar with TorreagĂźera and will have a length of 10 kilometers.

The Session provides an investment of 29 million euros.

This road will be able to absorb between 20,000 and 22,000 vehicles a day and decongest the MU-302 (which connects La Alberca, Santo Angelo, Algezares and San José de la Vega) and MU-300 (Pain and Beniaján).
