The Councillor for Sports, Miguel Cascales, has formally requested by the Tennis Federation of the Region of Murcia Murcia will host the tie of Davis Cup semifinals, which will face the Spanish team to the U.S. .

The event will be held in September.

Cascales Condomina has indicated that the ideal would be to build in the center a great clay court and add some telescopic bleachers to increase capacity of the football field.

The Condomina has capacity for 17,000 spectators and installing bleachers could reach 20,000 spectators.

The mayor of Sports has stated that "we offer the best facility in Spain for this kind of games because Murcia is also a city that is level with the sea, a vital requirement for the players."
