The Deputy Mayor of Education and Personal, Pilar Megía, held this morning a meeting with members of the FSG Murcia to address lines of action undertaken by the Foundation.
Among the issues under discussion this morning has highlighted the long history of collaboration that is taking place between the city of Murcia and FSG.
So it should be noted that, through the City Social Services, has been working since 2000 in the ACCESS program, which focuses on promoting employment of Roma as well as promoting social and cultural integration.
This program ended in 2007, but has extended the agreement until 2013.
The result of the meeting, has agreed to establish a line of collaboration between the Department of Education and the FSG to place special emphasis on promoting education among school-age children and between families.
Another area in which work is actively conducting various activities to publicize the integration of Roma culture.
In parallel, it has also worked in the monitoring of Gypsy families to prevent truancy.
The foundation, which works with the three centers of Social Services (Northern Murcia, Murcia Murcia City South), has received grants from the City of Murcia to carry out various building projects that are undertaken in the municipality of Murcia.
