ALEM holds the Secretariat of the Spanish Association of Energy Agencies (24/04/2008)

Murcia has welcomed the holding of the Sixth Annual Meeting of the Spanish Association of Energy Agencies (EnerAgen), composed of local energy agencies, county, provincial and regional.

Argema (Energy Management Agency of the Region of Murcia) and German (Local Agency for Energy and Climate Change of the City of Murcia) assume a national challenge to hold the vice-presidency and secretariat respectively EnerAgen

EnerAgen is a joint initiative of the different Spanish Agency for Energy Management in its various spheres of action, which combines the efforts of all to ensure the rational use of energy in the different sectors of consumers, promote efficiency, savings and diversification of energy resources.

The aims of the association are, among others, to promote, strengthen and ensure the role of energy agencies in all areas of activity and encourage cooperation among members of the association.

Among its responsibilities is helping to develop joint proposals for action in their respective areas, while ensuring an adequate level of training of all members.

One of the aims of the association is also promoting the coordination of resources and support systems to facilitate access to citizenship and make them work for information from the various stakeholders in the energy sector.

The agenda of this Assembly IV Spanish Energy Agency was among other things accepting the nomination of two new members: The Provincial Energy Agency of Cadiz and German, the Local Agency for Energy and Climate Change Murcia.

Also, and among other relevant issues was in the agenda of the new Board of Directors who will lead the next two years EnerAgen where Argema First Vice-President has assumed the same and German premieres at the Secretary General.

During these two days have presented the various activities of the various groups created within the Partnership in order to optimize its use.

From today, ALEM Argema and work as a team to Murcia in the coming years as a national benchmark in energy issues.

Community and City of Murcia Murcia already working to get the most benefit from working through this national association.

Cooperation, teamwork possible to develop analysis and mechanisms for proper strength between both institutions at local and regional levels.

Francisco Ayala and Maria Cruz Ferreira-Costa, managing director of Argema and German respectively, have stressed the importance of Community and City team up and work from the vice-presidency and secretariat to increase the weight of Murcia in the national energy strategy.
