Murcia City Council has received letters from the Ministry of Public Health, Quito (Ecuador) and the Consulate of Ecuador in Murcia shown their appreciation by sending medicine to this country after the tragic disaster will last February, and whose effects are still noting.
The Minister of Public Health of Ecuador, Caroline Chang Campos, stated in his letter the successful receipt of medications, which are being distributed directly to people affected by floods.
Also, Minister of Public Health of Ecuador expressed gratitude and appreciation to the City of Murcia for their help to his country.
Remember that flood caused by the unusual strength of the winter season (the most serious of recent decades) have so far left 16 dead, one missing, 265,000 evacuated and destroyed over 114,000 hectares, most of them corresponding to grazing of livestock and crops of rice, cocoa, bananas and corn.
