The Classical Music Competition for Young Performers of the Region of Murcia, 'Between Strings and Metals', organized by the Youth Council and the Conservatory of Music in Cartagena, comes to an end with the Closing Ceremony and Awards, to be held this Friday, May 9, at the Auditorium of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, Campus Muralla del Mar.
From 20.00 hours, was made public the decision of the jury in all forms and hosting a concert by the Cartagena Chamber Orchestra directed by Brian George Webber, performing as a soloist Ana M.
Flowers (First Prize in the form of rope last year's contest, the Conservatory of Music of Murcia), which will play a work of Mozart, and closed the event of the Conservatory Orchestra Music Cartagena, directed by Andres Perez Barnabas.
The entrance to the closing event is free to fill seats.
There have been many who have made this contest, both teachers and members of the jury, staff of the Conservatory and other members of the Youth Council, also having the support of the Autonomous Region, through the Academic Planning DGs Cultural Promotion.
Between strings and brass has managed to build a high level of participation in its eleventh edition and this year that more people have submitted a total of 89 young people from different parts of the Region of Murcia and who have chosen to first prize of 700 euros, and a second prize of 300 euros.
In this eleventh edition has been seven modalities: piano, strings, guitar, woodwinds, brass, percussion and vocals.
