Murcia Councilman's change Nacho Tornel defend a motion in Parliament tomorrow to the creation of a technical maintenance unit that allows exclusively serve the needs of the centers of the municipal service of culture (museums, exhibition halls, auditoriums, files and interpretation centers).
Tornel has found deficiencies in several visits to the museums of the city, it has highlighted the difficulty of maintaining optimum conditions in these areas, which receive daily hundreds of people and whose maintenance depends almost exclusively on the unique technical office of the City.
According to the proposal's change, the technical unit would consist of an engineer, an architect or surveyor and maintenance personnel, and also allow to carry out small urgent renovations and oversight activities in workshops, museology and permanent exhibitions.
In this regard, the council recalled that cultural spaces have characteristics that require special conditions of light, temperature and humidity for proper preservation of documents, archaeological, natural science collections, aquariums, terrariums, pieces of industrial archeology and artwork.
The training has lamented the limited staff of the museums of the town, which usually consist of a director or coordinator and assistant in some cases, more workers to the public services, contracted through companies.
