Murcia's change plan proposes a municipal rental housing (26/01/2016)

Nacho Tornel Councilman's change Murcia, aims to promote a municipal rental housing plan in order to facilitate access to a residence for families who can not afford the purchase.

"So far the City plans encourage property but not the lease," said the mayor.

Municipalist for training, the plan should have a "substantially large" park, but this can not rely on new construction.

"The motto homeless people and houses without people makes all the sense in the world, and we therefore propose a working group to study how to implement in Murcia initiatives like Barcelona, taking off in the SAREB rental housing, or of Bilbao, with agreements with private entities, "said Tornel.

Although thousand families are included in the waiting list of the Register of Claimants of Housing, public park is not only very low but the administrations have been dedicated to part of the housing which managed, rather than promote them and make them accessible.

Therefore, an objective from being "put into use in flooring stock banks or private promoters, even families who want to keep using their second home."

Such a plan would benefit young people, students and workers who may come from outside Murcia, it could even serve to stop the degradation that occurs in some neighborhoods where there are empty houses.

"The City Council has responsibility for housing, so they have a duty to design action in this respect," concluded the councilor.

However, as Murcia's change, the Plan Regulations Access to Housing put up for sale all of the City public housing, with the exception of the Holy Spirit Espinardo neighborhood, including in Urban Plan.
