To mark the International Day of Commemoration in memory of the victims of the Holocaust, tomorrow Wednesday, January 27, at 20 pm, the doors of Castile Center will host the presentation of the book 'totalitarian experience, strength and testimony of Bonhoeffer to Kertész' which it is part of the series 'The experience of the Holocaust and its ethical implications'.
The work, coordinated by Angel Olmos Prior, Professor of Philosophy at the University of Murcia, collects a wide anthology of texts introductorios- -precedidos by studies of several key witnesses to the totalitarian experience of the twentieth century: Dietrich Bonhoeffer's letters from prison and its projected "Ethics", stories and reflections of Primo Levi, testimony and analyzes of Jean Amery, historical and philosophical works of Hannah Arendt, and literary essays and Imre Kertesz.
In the book involved Carmen Gonzalez Martinez Eslava Damaso Garcia, Fuensanta Mengual Perez, Jose Antonio Fernandez Lopez and Angel Prior Olmos, the latter also serves as coordinator of the issue.
The presentation will be moderated by José Belmonte Serrano, Professor of Teaching of Language and Literature, Faculty of Education, writer and literary critic.
In the table of speakers involved José Antonio Fernández López, professor of IES Alfonso Escámez, Eagles;
Fuensanta Perez Mengual, a professor of IES Vega del Tader, Molina de Segura, and Angel Prior Olmos, coordinator of the editing and Professor of Philosophy at the University of Murcia.
The International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust was promoted by the United Nations General Assembly for Member States to draw up educational programs that will inculcate future generations with the lessons of the Holocaust in order to help prevent acts of genocide.
