The City of Murcia receives young people who have participated in a youth exchange funded by the Erasmus Plus program in Finland (21/01/2016)

The Councillor for Youth and Development Cooperation, Rebeca Perez receives six young people who actively participate in the program Urban neighborhood of the Holy Spirit, an initiative of the City of Murcia conceived for the revitalization of the neighborhood, and have had the opportunity to travel outside of Spain thanks to the Erasmus exchange project Plus, "Global Freezers" program.

During your stay, one week in Finland have participated in various competitions and games in nature, especially enjoying activities in the snow and frozen lakes.

Global Freezer has worked with them on climate change and environmental problems it causes.

Youth (3rd and 4th ESO), which have also lived with other boys from 5 different countries (Finland, Ireland, Germany, Turkey and Denmark) have been active on environmental issues in their respective countries and in Europe, as well as creative workshops, recycling and have developed a manual with the proposals for action from the personal and social environment to combat climate change.

They have been coordinated at all times by Villa Elba in Kokkola (Finland), one of the National Youth Centers Finnish Ministry of Education.

Being the first time traveling outside Spain, said Rebeca Perez, who was accompanied by the general director of Citizen Participation, European Union and Foreign Affairs, Manuel Pleguezuelo, "come up with new ideas, with a very open mind to new experiences, wanting to learn a language better and excited to launch initiatives they have learned during the project.
