The City of Murcia commitment to alternative leisure program through networks with more than 40 free activities for youth (21/01/2016)

The Councillor for Youth and Development Cooperation, Rebeca Perez, presented the new network programming.

The activities are free and are spread over 3 municipal youth center (La Nave, 585 m2 and El Palmar) in nine schools and in different places of the city and districts.

They are aimed at young people between 12 and 30 years.

The activities are divided into three groups for programming reaches all citizens.

On the one hand, they taught from schools: Instituto Saavedra Fajardo, El Carmen, Algezares, Alquibla, Mariano Baquero, Monte Miravete, Alfonso X the Wise, and Engineer Ramón y Cajal de la Cierva.

Where various activities dance, visual arts, literature, sports, music and computer are presented, among others.

"It's energizing the educational space, encourage participation and promote complementary activities to academic performances" Rebeca Perez stressed.

In programming they are also included municipal youth centers.

On Ship (Bacons Bridge) you can learn magic and self-defense.

585 m2, plus guitar workshops for all levels, you can also engage in drawing and painting, create original designs patchwork technique or experiment with makeup carnival.

In the space El Palmar youth workshops sumi-e (Japanese painting), gardening, natural cosmetics, Warhammer or table tennis are available.

On February 12 astronomical observations can be made in Murcia from the square of the Museum of Science and Water.

This way, you get one of the objectives of the City, promote the artistic, cultural and educational development of young people.

Activities are different and innovative in each call, as they adapt to the interests of citizens.

The leisure and sports activities continues jugger, ultimate frisbee, skateboarding or rollerblading, spread over various areas as the square of the Red Cross or the Municipal Golf Bacons Bridge.

There will be a championship football night at the Sports Joseph Barnes Scooter or workshop.

For the more adventurous, two paths are made: one cyclist by Monteagudo Castles on 28 February and another hiking route through the Sierra de Carrascoy on Sunday 13 March.
