Murcia Councilman Nacho Tornel's change today called on the mayor, José Ballesta, who "feels a dialogue" with the fire of Murcia, on strike since 1 December, to find a solution that meets the demands of the workers this service and to end the strike.
Tornel has insisted that the firefighters strike can follow the same line as the bus 'coloraos', which has been solved "once the council has sat down to talk with the workers."
According to the mayor of the municipal-training, firefighters from Murcia "dragged a number of historical claims, background" and therefore, "the next step is sit down and talk about these problems regardless of whether a solution process that develops last more or less time. "
In his opinion, the training plan is one of the most important issues and is related to the fact that the workforce is very low.
In addition, he recalled that the firefighters themselves have stated that the plan lacks transparency and does not clarify issues of particular importance.
In this context, "it is necessary to clarify who will manage the training plan, if necessary and under which conditions will be overcome," he argued Tornel.
He has also criticized the decree of December 21 City Council on redeployment of staff and the composition of new shifts from 1 January next year, considering that "only serves to add fuel to the fire."
Regarding the absence of notice of competition, the council has said it is due to the law of budgetary stability of the central government, which has prevented officials increase the staff of the consistory.
