Complaint Murcia's change delays the Special Plan Urban Malecon while licenses for new buildings (29/12/2015)

Change the neglect Murcia suspect in the drafting of the Special Plan of the Malecon by the council, and protection of the environment must approve the Directorate General of Cultural Assets, it is being done on purpose so that certain owners can develop without any of obstacles.

As announced with great fanfare an action plan for the garden of Murcia, the City is unable to stop the degradation of cultural interest as emblematic as is the walk from the Malecon.

A poor maintenance of the monument its characteristic degradation huertano environment adds, with ads and billboards, garbage accumulation, poles and wiring, a whole list contrary to the obligations set by the Heritage Act.

But what is more serious, because it is irreversible, is the transformation of the landscape garden in an environment densely urbanized and banal without any landscape integration measures.

In this situation, let's change requests the Department of Planning, Environment and Huerta not granting new licenses until the approval of the Special Plan and protection of the environment, and to prioritize the preservation of the Walk and its surroundings as a tourist potential and integrating element between the city and the Huerta.

Moreover, it will also require the City Council as an urgent measure the cleanliness of the whole environment and the removal of posters and billboards under the Heritage Act and the regulatory municipal regulations of outdoor advertising.

Murcia has been shown change the upwelling of buildings at the end of the Malecon promenade, despite the wording of the Special Protection Plan which was approved in 2007 having been requested several times to City Hall, and the delimitation of environment protection the Directorate General for Cultural Property.

To this it should be added that in 2006 the government team took the adaptation of the General Plan to the Land Act to reduce largely protected land orchard in the vicinity of the walk as well as the piping of the largest ditch Aljufía to facilitate the construction of several villas in the left bank, the modification to fit the school system and unlawful concerted AYS placement of overflow parking in a green area.

For us change surprising that both governments are incapable of ensuring the preservation of this cultural property, and suspect that this incomprehensible carelessness is being done on purpose to favor certain owners can develop without having to attend to measures of good conservation of the landscape.
