The Journal of Distance Education (RED), published by the Centre for Training and Professional Development at the University of Murcia, has been included in the new index Emerging Sources Citation Index (CSEC).
The index, which is part of the database Web of Science of Thomson Reuters, collects journals identified as relevant by opinion leaders, evaluators and investors worldwide.
RED, which has among its contents teaching and learning in online environments, new educational paradigms and open university education, is the first peer-reviewed publication that is published exclusively online in Spain.
The last two editions of Google Scholar metrics place the publication, whose editor is Professor Miguel Zapata Ros, as one of the hundred most cited journals in Spanish in all specialties and disciplines.
