The Governing Board gave the green light to a new action in relation to street cleaning.
The Department of Public Works soterrará three new points of containers located in the historical district, whose specification was approved this morning.
Thus, the containers on the sides of the Teatro Romea (Calle Echegaray and Angel Guirao) and on the side of the Bank of Spain (Street Actor Fernando Diaz de Mendoza) disappear from public roads to be installed underground.
The Echegaray street have three units, Angel Guirao street with six points and Street Actor Fernando Diaz de Mendoza with two.
To carry out these works, to be executed within a period of two months, 180,000 euros will be invested.
Since the containers are in area BIC, the procedure has been especially cared for by the Council qualifying itself an archaeological supervision by a qualified technician authorized by the Directorate General of Cultural Heritage of the Autonomous Community to perform a specific and detailed monitoring of the works to be carried out.
Murcia already has buried more than 500 points that improve the image of public roads, remove the visual impact of traditional containers, minimize discomfort more comfortable to wear and less noisy in containers download.
This action is part of the plan of the Department of burying the containers in which the center, so emblematic of the environment, more convenient avoid traditional packaging area.
