The City Council and Emmaus intensify their collaboration channels to advance the common goal of promoting the integration of people at risk of exclusion in the city.
The Mayor, José Ballesta, held this morning a meeting with the coordinator of this entity, Francisco Lopez Vidal, which was also attended by the councilors Conchita Ruiz, Maria del Carmen Pelegrin and Rebeca Perez, responsible for the areas of Social Rights, Institutional Relations and Development Cooperation respectively.
Among other issues, the meeting served to evaluate cooperation programs being carried together, including the draft "psychotherapeutic care and promotion of volunteerism" that promotes Ragpickers of Emmaus Association, which has 50,000 euros for the City development.
This is accompanied in the process of social and labor incorporation to participants at least, -45 people in situations of social exclusion, serious risk or particular sensitivity with various performances, including accommodation in the shelter, assistance and social care , basic training, and occupational, employment and social integration companies.
