The City Council, through the Department of Employment, Trade and Culture, keep artistic training program in dance and theater designed to encourage participation and artistic education of children and youth in the neighborhood of the Holy Spirit
According to Councilman Jesus Pacheco "this program will contribute to the permanence in the school system and influence the teaching of dance and musical theater as a means of cultural expression and social interaction and into vocational training."
The training program includes the specialties of classical dance, contemporary dance and physical expression, flamenco, modern dance and urban dance and theater as: Interpretation and staging, characterization and makeup, musical performance and some activities such as master classes and preparing shows for festivals.
The project is a continuation of activities undertaken in the Holy Spirit URBAN project in which the participants have developed an intense work to incorporate dancing in your daily training and have defined their preferences for musical theater.
In addition, each year, students have prepared a festival in which they perform their best choreographed dance and theater at the annual Gala, one of the events that has already established itself as a brand of the neighborhood and the neighbors enjoy every year the month of July.
The project was scheduled for completion in 2015 will continue after the Mayor of Murcia José Ballesta hear the neighbors last September at a meeting in which they expressed their interest in practicing these disciplines and the positive impact it has had for their education and their lives practicing these activities.
The City invested 83,831.22 euros in this new contract
