Press Murcia's change to the General Election 20-D (04/12/2015)

Let's change the Murcia Municipal Assembly, the highest body of the municipal political movement, which met on December 1, 2015, unanimously approved the following statement:

Murcia change was born with the will to radically transform institutions to improve living conditions in our town.

A longing that we maintain and strengthened day by day work in sectoral groups, neighborhoods and districts of hundreds of activists.

As important as the goal we conceive the tool: the confluence of all supporters of a real and profound change.

As a social movement activists who are part of a large number of groups and members of several state political formations, from Murcia's change committed to radical democracy, transparency, public defense, reducing inequalities and eradicating poverty.

But the change we aspire to be promoted not only from our municipality but also from the regional space, state and even international.

Of little use having municipalities with transformative initiatives if they can be operated by a central government conservative.

Aware that the most important for our neighbors political decisions are made in Parliament, we want the result of the upcoming elections on December 20 involving a new twist to the destructive policies of the Popular Party rights and neoliberal measures during the decades.

We regret, therefore, that the choice of justice, solidarity, ecologist and feminist change was not present at these elections under a single candidate, but competing several formations advocating a similar socio-economic transformation that stand in Murcia's change.

We believe, though, that it is essential to maintain the illusion that generated the victories of candidates in local government unit in Madrid, Barcelona, Zaragoza and La Coruna.

We can not fail right now.

That is why we encourage all Murcia and Murcia to vote for candidates who are committed to democratic regeneration, citizen participation, equitable distribution of wealth, the recovery of social and labor rights and social transformation.

Finally, the Coordinator of Murcia's change stands ready to continue working in our town, whatever the result the 20-D, after the unit to serve as an example and encouragement to territorially larger convergences.
