Councilman Municipal Socialist Group, Enrique Ayuso, participated this morning in a conference on the 'New climate culture' organized by various associations and environmental groups in the Campus de la Merced.

Ayuso has signed on behalf of the Socialist Group in the city of Murcia a "Manifesto for Climate 'gesture with which the PSOE in the consistory Murcia adheres to the defense of a more sustainable way of life.

In this regard, the Socialist councilor recalled that the city of Murcia has two major problems: the high own energy consumption of urban centers and high pollution that results.

"We should be able to solve these two problems at the same time reducing energy consumption and pollution, and working for a more friendly Murcia with the environment, more respectful of the more sustainable environment," Ayuso noted.

To do this, the PSOE mayor has stressed the need to invest in renewable energy, "which are essential in the fight against climate change."

Also, Ayuso has highlighted the importance of using technology in the service of sustainability.

"With today's technology we can save energy getting, for example, less polluting public transport and the construction of sustainable buildings."

Finally, Enrique Ayuso has appreciated the initiative of the associations involved in these events and conferences, and also recalled the importance of education in raising awareness for the protection of the environment.

"It is important for children and adults that, together, we can save energy and reduce pollution to make Murcia a city friendly and ecosaludable awareness", he concluded.
