The University of Murcia (UMU) has published a tribute book to Ricardo Escavy, Professor of Linguistics General of the institution, on the occasion of his retirement.
The work is sponsored by the Department of Spanish Language and Linguistics General and the same professors from the University of Murcia and other universities.
The book was presented at a ceremony chaired by Rector of the University, José Orihuela, in the House of Arts, and in which coeditoras of the work, the teachers Eulalia Hernández and María Isabel, both portrayed the honoree his role human as in their teaching and research career.
This second teacher read a text of professor at the University of Valencia Angel Lopez, in which the academic relevance of Escavy and General Linguistics Area UMU was quoted.
In the event also they participated Jose Velez, mayor of Calasparra, homeland of Escavy, and the Dean of the Faculty of Arts Keith Graham, who expressed the appreciation from the middle to the professor of linguistics.
Ricardo Escavy acknowledged feeling overwhelmed by the show of appreciation and serious discourse, while entertaining, toured the evolution of the concepts of work and retirement.
The rector gave Orihuela Escavy silver logo of the University of Murcia and alluded in his speech to the love and admiration that he professed in this educational institution.
