Murcia Circus Theatre hosts the presentation of the acting awards 'Maria Jesus Sirvent' to be held next Monday and will attend the actress Maria Jesus Sirvent
The jury awarded the distinction is made by students of IES Saavedra Fajardo, organizing center of the prizes.
Students who make up the jury attended performances of selected works between November 2014 and May 2015, functions that took place in Murcia Circus Theatre.
In this first edition the winners were:
-Allende Garcia, for her portrayal of 'Adela' in 'The House of Bernarda Alba "by Federico Garcia Lorca, by Alquibla Theatre on May 13, 2015 in Murcia Circus Theatre.
Jaime Lorente, for her portrayal of 'Allan' in 'Equus' by Peter Shaffer, Railway Company by the November 27, 2014 in Murcia Circus Theatre.
The theatrical award 'Maria Jesus Sirvent' has been created by the IES Saavedra Fajardo to reward the best young actor and actress belonging to Murcia companies have presented their productions at the Teatro Circo Murcia during the 2014-2015 theater season.
The name of the award is motivated by linking Murcia actress with IES Saavedra Fajardo, public center where he attended high school and woke his theatrical vocation.
The trophy will be awarded to the two winners was designed by sculptor Fernando Saenz de Elorrieta, artist with plenty of public works, especially in Cartagena, with pieces like 'Whale Tail', 'Soldier Monument replacement', 'Pied Hamelin ',' Diver 'or' canopies' in La Manga.
Saenz de Elorrieta is also the author of the trophy given annually by the La Mar Music Festival.
This project was conducted in collaboration with the Teatro Circo Murcia, especially its director César Oliva team.

With the decision of IES Saavedra Fajardo to give the name of Maria Jesus Sirvent these theater awards we want to acknowledge the importance of theater in the education of students, both in regular attendance at the planned works in the city as the practice of interpretation itself as a means of artistic expression and personal development of young people.
Maria Jesus Sirvent is an example of the importance of and the closeness to the world of acting from the field of education can lead to a successful stage career.
Mary's first contact with the theater world Jesus started in the classroom and hand of a school teacher, Jesus Molina, in the sixties of the twentieth century in the company Harlequin, which staged works like children 'The brave Little Tailor'.
Sirvent later became part of the University Theater of Murcia, marking a new era in Murcia scene.
