The Board of Governors approved the specifications for contracting Clubs MMFN reading project, in which 20,449 euros to be invested monitors and books.

Thanks to this agreement twelve municipal libraries will find themselves in this activity programming that seeks to promote reading and that is one of the activities aimed at adults more successful.

The book club is to form a group of people reading a book at the same time and, monthly, on a predetermined date and time, meet to discuss the previously chosen title.

The aim is to share with others reader fact, analyzing the books from other perspectives, discuss literary style, action, characters ... The great success with book clubs in libraries because they combine personal reading and the possibility of sharing the experience with others.

The choice of securities arises from an agreement among readers, librarians and moderators and books will be purchased by the municipal libraries.

The event is free but places of book clubs are limited.

Those interested in participating in this activity, should be addressed to any of the libraries where it is performed.

Currently 13 reading clubs operate libraries El Carmen, Author José Saramago, Rio Segura, San Basilio, Beniaján, Cabeza de Torres, Pelagio Ferrer of El Palmar, Javalí Nuevo, La Alberca, La Nora, Bacons Bridge and Sangonera la Green

During 2014 they participated in book clubs about 2,600 people.
