Now Murcia demands a solution to the conflict in schedules "Coloraos" buses (19/11/2015)

The unilateral change from joint venture is an extension of working hours without a proportional increase compensation and that workers now have less than half a day off per week, among other damages

NOW MURCIA calls for a solution to the conflict suffered by bus workers 'coloraos' related to irregular schedules unilaterally change imposed by the company UTE.

The municipal formation presented in plenary a motion Monday to urge the council to mediate in the conflict, making the agreement the parties reached at the Provincial Labor and Social Security is met.

In December 2014, employees of the company Transportes de Murcia UTE filed this complaint with Provincial Inspection irregularities in the shape of the journey times for public transport in the circular lines on Sundays and holidays.

Following the complaint, the company had to commit to the acting inspector to resolve the conflict as soon as possible and by the representation of workers and City Hall.

However, despite the commitment expressly adopted by UTE and despite the actions of some union to solve the problem, the corporation has failed to comply with the commitment today.

On 16 September, through the bulletin board, the company informed the staff changing times, affecting all workers and began to be paid 8 days later.

The change affects buses that provide service on Sundays and public holidays, and is an extension of working hours without a proportional increase in remuneration.

In addition, workers now have half a day less of rest a week, and every employee is forced to double the cost of travel required to make the journey round the place designated for their workday, as the company also refuses to take over these costs, although previously they agree with the works council.

Therefore, as the Councillor Angeles Micol says, "it is taking an absolute violation of the provisions of Articles 41.4 and 41.5 of the Statute of Workers, as the company has made a substantial change in working conditions of a collective nature without allow for the completion of the period of mandatory consultations with the representation of workers and also to enforce it has not notified the template with the least 15 days. "

The mayor also recalled that Labor Inspectorate, company and workers' representatives reached an agreement that the reorganization of work on Sundays and holidays (routes and timetables) would have to take place from tripartite meetings between City Hall and part economic social, never unilaterally by the company.

"Therefore," Micol explains, "we are witnessing the failure of the company to the terms of a valid and effective agreement."

Therefore, now Murcia asked in Parliament on Monday that the schedule without effect, to begin discussions and reach tripartite agreement signed commitment set out in the Provincial Labor and Social Security.
