The University of Murcia held today in an act that has given the name of emeritus professors Bath Francisca Moya and Jose Garcia Lopez, Department of Classical Philology at the respective rooms Elio Antonio de Nebrija Library, located in the Merced campus.
The ceremony involved the teachers Maria Teresa Beltrán and Consuelo Alvarez, this, director of the Department, who concurred on human and both professionals and dedication to teaching and research values.
So they have the Deputy Dean of the Faculty Alicia Morales and director of the University Library, Pablo Ballester Pérez, while the two honorees have had sentences of thanks and also to highlight the work of librarians who have worked with them all this years.
The mayor of Murcia and ex-rector, José Ballesta, stressed the importance of humanism, which considered personal in these two professors emeriti, while the rector, Jose Orihuela, has said it is good that the tributes are engaged in life, adding that contrary to what many think, the digital era will not end with books.
The event was also attended by the Vice Chancellor for Research at the University of Murcia, Juan Antonio Garcia, and exrectores, Juan Roca, Juan Monreal and Jose Antonio Cobacho.
