The working group of San Esteban is already working on the project to restore the site and its surroundings (18/11/2015)

The councilman of Promotion, Roque Ortiz, presided this morning the first meeting of the working group will establish the main guidelines to recover the set of San Esteban.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mayor, José Ballesta, has received the members of this group to thank him for his work and interest in this project.

This group of highly technical, is responsible for the drafting of a list of technical specifications for procurement of consultancy and technical assistance for drafting the Master Plan Set of San Esteban.

The working group members are Juan Carlos Molina (Architect, General Cultural Property) (instead attended Miguel San Nicolas);

Carmen Martínez Salvador (Archaeologist, City of Murcia);

Don Jorge Eiroa Rodriguez (archaeologist and historian, University of Murcia), Antonio Garcia Herrero (Dean College of Architects of Murcia) (in place has attended Rafael Pardo), Pilar Lopez Pina (Academic Director of the School of Tourism, University of Murcia ) and Javier García del Toro (Archaeologist, University of Murcia)

Among the objectives of that statement should include the following:

Program analysis and actions to be taken in the joint and its environment, including as such the existing archaeological site, the Palace and the Church of San Esteban and its immediate urban environment.

Priority in the studio for proper alignment of recovery performance space for public use of the Garden of San Esteban and the enhancement of the archaeological site and its museological.

Actions concerning social and local integration, promoting tourism, trade, leisure and in particular on the adequacy and integration of the Palace and the Jesuit Church of the sixteenth century.

Conditions relating to road traffic, pedestrian areas of potential, and establishing leisure areas, urban furniture and enjoyment.

Recovery actions and environmental regeneration, specifically with cleaning and urban waste collection is concerned.

Establish a prioritized program of actions, quantified and valued economically.

Setting the price and term of the consulting and technical assistance.

The specification shall refer to the creation of a committee of experts to act as an advisory body awarded the consultancy contract and assistance.

Monitoring and consultation process carried out during the preparation of the Master Plan, with the various associations representing collective interests, neighbors, consultative institutions, professional associations, universities or other similar bodies, so that the Master Plan are fully reflected in the legitimate citizens and include the corresponding analysis of the initiatives raised aspirations.

This statement shall be prepared within approximately one month by the Group in order to begin processing the Master Plan.
