The City of Murcia encourages its Local Strategy to successfully meet the challenge of climate change (18/11/2015)

A diagnosis of vulnerability of the city, weather forecasts and a series of meetings for small and medium enterprises, are some of the activities the Department of Environment will perform.

Murcia has already launched its roadmap for adaptation to climate change, a first step in identifying the vulnerable situation in which the municipality is:

"Assessment of Vulnerability of the city of Murcia", which evaluates the climate impacts that are already occurring and will occur in the municipality of Murcia, due to the historical accumulation of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, in order to plan strategies future adaptation.

Corchón Antonio Navarro recalled that the Fifth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change explained that "to keep global warming below two degrees Celsius by the end of this century, we must reduce emissions of greenhouse gases or keep close to zero growth. "
