Regarding the news published in different media about certain words spoken by the President of the UCAM in the Opening Ceremony of the Academic Year 2015/16 news, it is noted that:
1.- The University is proud to be an advocate, since its foundation in the dignity of all people, irrespective of their ideologies and beliefs as well as any other condition or personal or social circumstances, including sexual orientation.
2.- The words of the President of the UCAM, have been taken out of context and spoke under the Opening Ceremony Academic Course 2015/16, completely respectful, referring to the ideology of the Catholic University, claiming legitimately values ​​of Christian humanism, and in particular, the defense of life and Christian marriage.
3.- In any case, the above words should be interpreted as offensive to any person or social group, all of which deserve the utmost respect and consideration to this University and all its academic authorities.
