The University of Murcia approved the public job for this exercise (13/11/2015)

The Governing Council of the University of Murcia today approved the public job by the governing team, which includes a total of 18 teaching posts and three administrative staff and services.

During the meeting, held in the building of convalescence, the rector, Jose Orihuela, has reported on the call for predoctoral and postdoctoral contracts, within the policy of promoting university research personnel.

During the session, the Vice Chancellor for Coordination and Internationalisation, Bernardo Cascales, stressed that the Italian government has granted a total of 240 scholarships for many other students of that country, which will continue teaching at the University of Murcia, which will mean a funding this 2.4 million.

Cascales added that the number of scholarships is a significant increase, especially if you consider that in the 2013-2014 course was attended only 16 scholarships and 100 the following year.

Moreover, Cascales has advanced to the University of Murcia will participate in a call for funding to the campus of international excellence, in particular, the Campus Mare Nostrum concur with a project entitled "Strengthening excellence in the Mediterranean".

During the meeting, the rector reported on the restructuring of powers in the government team chaired and which aims to deal with the dedication that deserves the plan recently signed multi-year funding.

Thus, he added, certain powers that were previously allocated to the management go to one of the existing vicerrectorados, to be renamed Economy, Sustainability and Health Sciences, headed by Professor José María Abellán will remain.

For its part, the Department for Communication and Culture added to the denomination the term Sports, and it will continue Galdana Professor Monica Perez Morales, who recently took over the office.
