Michelin Star Chefs advise the Degree in Gastronomy UCAM (28/10/2015)

In a unique setting as is the new kitchen classroom-laboratory gastroLAB Brothers Rock, located on the campus of Los Jeronimos, we were presented this morning by the Advisory Council on Food Grade Catholic University of Murcia.

The ceremony was attended by the Members of this new body, such as Michelin Star chefs Pablo González-Conejero (Restaurant La Cabana Finca Buenavista), Kiko Moya (L'Escaleta) and Fran Martinez (Maralba);

also considered the best pastry chef in Spain, Juan Antonio Serrano;

Pablo Gomez, professor of the Degree in Gastronomy;

Carmen Reverte, director of the CST;

Enrique Lorca, head of the Department of classroom training at the Institute of Tourism of the Region of Murcia.

Pablo González-Conejero Council stressed that this approach to the current Grade aspects of gastronomy.

"We have resorted to big people who know and understand the sector in each of the areas where they work," he said, and added that this would "hopefully lead us to achieve the notoriety that deserves the title."

The restaurant chef Maralba he was proud to be part of this Advisory Council, which he described as a great initiative, and stated that "we as chefs also have the obligation to teach what we know, and here we have a platform to develop and be able to teach and support all students to love this profession. "

The president of the UCAM, José Luis Mendoza, recalled the importance the catering industry has on the national and international scene, and the role in it of gastronomy professionals.
