Social Rights began work with third sector organizations to serve as officers for Social Inclusion (27/10/2015)

Jesus Forsaken and European Network for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion (EAPN) bet on the coordinated work from the City of Murcia

The Department of Social Rights Murcia City Council has begun work with third sector organizations, which develop their action plans in Murcia, to form the Municipal Bureau for Social Inclusion in which different resources and coordinate programs that develop in the municipality of Murcia to address the problems of the most vulnerable groups.

The session, chaired by Councilwoman Conchita Ruiz Caballero, was attended by representatives of Caritas;

Gypsy Secretariat Foundation;

Cepaim Foundation;

RAIS Foundation;

Assembly Local Red Cross;

Jesus Forsaken and European Network for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion (EAPN).

With this meeting, the Council aims to create a stable reflection and coordination of actions with the most representative organizations of the municipality in the fight against poverty and social exclusion space and facilitate joint decision-making for the development of actions aimed at social inclusion.

In addition, the head of Social Rights, explained the importance of "establishing a framework for studies, creation of working groups or any other action aimed at better understanding of poverty and social exclusion in the city of Murcia."

Thus, representatives of entities, said Ruiz Caballero, "share knowledge and experiences of the municipal reality to establish common protocols, procedures and improve coordination and action as well, existing resources".

So he asserted the councilman of Social Rights, the fight against poverty and social exclusion, "is a priority and essential objective of social policy, and therefore we must immediately address the basic social needs of people residing in the municipality "
