Murcia's change criticizes the "vagueness" of the City recovery project in the San Esteban reservoir and its surroundings (23/10/2015)

Murcia Councilman Nacho Tornel's change today criticized the "vagueness" of the proposal of the mayor, José Ballesta, to recover the site of San Esteban and its environment, the lack of a master plan to support it and have a budget of its origin and accuracy of application is unknown, although welcomed because "finally the government team worry about this space."

"We congratulate and thank the City because after listening to citizens, associations and political groups which had hitherto received only absolute passivity in response," he argued Tornel, who, however, has expressed reluctance some parts of the document that the municipality has developed and which has been presented today by the ruler.

Among the criticisms of Murcia's change, the council stressed that the document cited only anticipates that a master plan is developed.

"We can not understand how it has not been prepared and presented and this plan, which is the instrument needed to boost the recovery of the space, however, the government team itself know that the project will cost about 15 million euros" He noted in this regard.

Tornel has asked Crossbow "not succumb to the temptation of the tactics of the big news and follow outlining these goals and clear lines that follow. Needless to sell the project that is being claiming citizenship for many years."

On citizen contribution that the City expected in the project, Councilman's change Murcia has indicated that it is "very low" and does not represent the will of the majority.

As an example, he explained that one of the bodies included in the document to provide for participation in the project is the 'Strategy City: Murcia 2020', through the Bureau of Tourism, Culture, Heritage and Commerce, in which they are represented organizations such as the Superior Council of Guilds of the City of Murcia, the Federation of Moors and Christians, the Sardine Association, and others are not representative of the world of culture and urbanism.
