The Governing Board approved two agreements worth 41,000 euros for persons with disabilities (23/10/2015)

The City of Murcia, through the Department of Social Rights who leads Conchita Ruiz, remains committed to supporting the various social organizations of the municipality by the approval of two cooperation agreements, worth 41,000 euros, which will help people with disabilities.

The development of various programs and activities of the various entities, are aimed at improving the quality of life and social integration of all people affected and their families, related to leisure and recreation areas.

These agreements, which will be held in the year 2015 are:

The Association for the treatment of people with Cerebral Palsy and Related Pathologies, ASTRAPACE, endowed with 33,000 euros for activities with families to reconcile work and family life.

It is an entity that provides treatment for people with cerebral palsy to improve their quality of life, promoting the creation of pedagogical centers.

With their first project "Activities with families to reconcile work and family life" a continuous and stable service is established, through which the needs and demands posed by primary caregivers, to provide them with tools to address are addressed with difficult situations that may arise daily.

Moreover, the second draft ASTRAPACE, "Independent Self", is a sheltered housing in which different users live for four months out of the family environment, accompanied by different professionals acquire the knowledge and skills useful to them to live independently .

The second agreement for the Association of Parents and Guardians of Mentally Handicapped, ASPAPROS, will have 8,000 euros for the development of its project 'Programme for Integration of persons with disabilities in social life'.

This program comprises two distinct types of performances that take place throughout the year:

· Major Group activities scheduled for all students at the school or large groups (over 40-50 boys).

Extracurricular trips made to areas of cultural or natural interest, sports, activities within a week of respite and the week of Christmas activities.

· Small Group Activities (7 to 9 members).

These are planned based on the tastes and preferences of alumni / ae and weekends will be under the supervision of volunteers.
