Murcia City Council allocated 120,000 euros for children with fewer opportunities are cared for outside school hours (23/10/2015)

The Board of Governors approved the specification for the Service contract for project implementation 'Ciberaula, we are after school', for a period of two years, amounting to 120,000 euros.

This program launched by the city of Murcia who has the support of the Banking Foundation 'La Caixa, which seeks to reconcile work and family life and fragile groups Leisure and Recreation, is aimed at under between 6 and 12 years, with fewer opportunities to neighborhoods and districts of the scope of the Centers of Social Services.

It aims to provide educational resources and recreational activities as well as the incorporation of communication technologies and information centers that can meet outside school hours for children in families with problems of reconciling work and family life.

Through knowledge of computer skills, promote reading and educational and leisure activities offered a space of knowledge where you can explore, analyze, exchange and present information, while they are provided with access to essential tools at the time current.

The project objectives are to foster a framework of comprehensive development of children and proper use of leisure time, and facilitate their integration into the social environment through fun and educational activities outside school hours and holidays that take place in the ' Ciberaula '.

The schedule 'Ciberaula' will be Monday through Friday from 16:00 to 20:00 hours.

However, in the holiday period of Christmas, Easter and spring festivals will be adapted according to the schedule programming.

Each user can stay in the classroom, regardless of the chosen activity, a maximum of 2 hours.

The period applicable to the use of computers will be one hour maximum retail day.

The classrooms are located in the Center of Social Services Espinardo, the Cultural Center of Los Dolores and local innovative 'of St. Pius X.

The 'Ciberaula' project is an appropriate remedy for the detection and prevention of a number of social and educational issues concerning the child population of the municipality and an essential support to support the educational intervention with minors in addressing issues such as absenteeism or academic failure, social integration, etc.,

At the same time it is a means to address transversal contents such as gender equality and the environment, giving an educational leisure sense and free time and training in the proper use of new technologies, preventing serious problems that misuse the same causes many children as cyberbullying.

Simultaneously, it is promoting a new program of social and educational innovation, called "Got Talent" that strengthens the "Ciberaula, we are after school" in order to discover and develop the talents and managing the emotions of children and girls involved putting the service of the community.
