Murcia leads the project Smartcities Spanish Association of Energy Agencies (EnerArgen) and directs the energy group of the National Network of Smart Cities (RECI)
The councilor of the Modernization of the Administration, Urban Quality and Participation, Jose Guillen, attended today in Madrid the ceremony chaired by the Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism, José Soria, on the standardization of smart cities.
"Today, the main European capitals compete to become more efficient and sustainable spaces.
The city of Murcia is already a leader in Smart Cities initiative and have already made great progress in the efficient management of energy, water, waste and urban mobility, "said the council area reponsable Modernization.
In fact, Murcia leads the project Smartcities Spanish Association of Energy Agencies (EnerArgen) and directs the energy group of the National Network of Smart Cities (RECI).
Smart development model focuses on scanning and network utilities to make them more efficient and competitive.
The result is a strategic planning which coordinate governance, innovation and citizen participation.
"The key is to guide each and every one of the areas of service to the citizen model 'smart'" said Jose Guillen, who added that "we are working to make oriented to the needs of people, more open council, networked, agile and close ".
