The University of Murcia today celebrated the act of international reception for more than 500 students and international students who attend college during the first quarter in the educational institution.
Of these students, 400 are from Europe through the Erasmus + program, which 55 Latin American universities are added (under programs ILA Southern Cross Science Without Borders and Scholarship Santander), 30 US institutions (ISEP and bilateral) agreements and 15 from China.
For ease of integration, the University, in cooperation with the Association of Students Erasmus ESN has organized a series of activities that will last until October 4 and includes a night of tapas, film session, visits to museums and travel Granada and a water park.
The rector of the University, José Orihuela, presided over the ceremony in the auditorium reception, which has also been attended by the Minister of Education and Universities, Maria Isabel Sanchez-Mora, and the rector of Coordination and Internationalisation, Bernardo Cascales .
The vice president has encouraged students to proclaim the virtues of the University of Murcia once they return to their home countries and has offered the support of the International Relations Service for any question you may need.
For his part, the minister said that the University of Murcia "is an example of good practice of internationalization for their ability to attract foreign students."
The rector, José Orihuela, closed the ceremony and invite students to maximize their time at the University of Murcia, "studying hard, but also fun."
