The Board of Governors approved the purchase of new vehicles for the local police in order to strengthen security in the districts.
The goal is to keep improving the means to promote more and better and closer service to the citizen, while the existing fleet is renewed.
Thus, to enhance public safety 13 cars Citroen C4 Picasso and two terrain are incorporated, while the District Police have 5 new motorcycles.
In addition, the fleet to service traffic with a new radar vehicle is extended.
The patrol vehicles be procured are provided, along with shields, siren, emergency lights, kit ... an integrated navigation system (GPS) to facilitate their access to places where their intervention is required, increasing the efficiency of service police, because response times are reduced
The City will invest more than 483,000 euros in the renovation of cars, motorcycles and vans used by the agents.
In this way it is intended that the local police available a fleet of current, modern and efficient vehicles in order to ensure efficient and quality service to citizens.
Currently the fleet of the Local Police is composed of a total of 251 vehicles, comprising 48 motorcycles, 78 cars, 33 trucks, 14 jeeps and 78 motorcycles.
