The Governing Board has submitted the specification for the supply system anchor and tied tree branches, guaranteeing the safety of themselves, amounting to 23,716 euros and within 3 months from the date of formalization.
With this action, the City Council wants to strengthen the trees and provide greater resistance to any risk of breakage.
The subject, which will be placed in 14 Ficus area Floridablanca, Artillery Barracks and Santo Domingo, will be by connecting several branches of the tree in order to reduce the risk of breakage or tearing of the branch.
Specifically, they will be 28 sets of anchor steel wire braided hollow coated nylon extra strong and resistance of at least 4 tons, cable length of 50 meters.
The system, which is already installed in the Ficus of the Plaza de Santo Domingo, allows a load capacity in the tree at least 12 years and does not constitute any kind of wound in the trees.
Finally, the bundle of the most dangerous branches will take place with the help of mechanical means.
