Murcia is a united city, always has shown and now we're going to do.

It is designing measures that are not limited only to the first host, but pick a more comprehensive and lasting action which ensure important aspects such as food, school integration of children.

The councilors of Development Cooperation, Social Rights and Institutional Relations, met with various associations, professional associations and NGOs, to coordinate aid care to refugees fleeing war and that caused the biggest humanitarian crisis Europe has lived since the end of World War II.

Murcia is a united city, always has shown and now we're going to do.

The first are the people and what may have higher priority to safeguard human lives.

Murcia not look the other way at such dramatic problems like this, where adults and children struggling to survive and hope is in Europe.

Murcia will be up to the circumstances, contributing to our means and possibilities to assist people who are suffering to unimaginable extremes by the West.

It is a fundamental priority that we address the thousands of refugees who are fleeing their countries in search of opportunities.

Murcia, once again prove to be a caring and committed city.

With the same rigor that we are aware of that need an urgent solution, we also say that it is essential to be effective and lasting, and that strength will give us unity and coordination among cities and countries.

Individual action by each city or region prevents or hinders that we can get the results we need, effectively and reaching a lasting solution to the crisis.

Therefore, it is essential that the response of Murcia is part of a coordinated action between the three governments and the FEMP, as the representative body of municipal issues, taking agreements based on dialogue, consensus and institutional loyalty.

Maruja councilors Pelegrin, Rebeca Perez and Conchita Ruiz, will develop a comprehensive action response to this crisis with the participation of organizations and associations serving host and manage programs to work with refugees and immigrants in the city as the Red Cross , CEPAIM Foundation, Caritas Welcomes Murcia, RASINET Federation, Amnesty International, and Jesus Forsaken RAIS Foundation, Volunteers Platform, as well as representatives of professional associations.

It is to study, analyze and design measures that are not limited only to the first host, but to collect more comprehensive and lasting action which ensure important aspects such as food, school integration of foster children with books and materials , language, legal regulation, financial support, etc.
